Ethiopia’s long coffee history predates written records & is widely known as the origin of Coffee. Arabica plants are native to Ethiopia, and many of the Arabica varieties now cultivated worldwide have their genetic roots in wild coffee growing in Ethiopian forests. With such easy access to wild-growing coffee, it is undoubtedly that early people in Ethiopia consumed coffee for centuries before it became the global beverage that it is today. Coffee is a large income driver of Ethiopia and is the main income source for up to 25% of the country’s population, with an estimated 15 million people involved in growing and processing the crop. The Sidamo region in southern Ethiopia holds is one of the most well-known coffee regions in Ethiopia. With high altitudes between 1550 to 2200 meters above sea level, consistent rainfall, and rich fertile soils, it makes coffee grown in this region so remarkable and desired.

Slightly fruity with a hint of spice. Really nice coffee.

This is one of my favorite Kahawa coffees. It smells AMAZING. It is a coffee that would appeal to many. We love buying from Kahawa because we get quality coffee that isn’t very expensive (cheaper than buying keurig pods). Highly recommend trying this coffee!
